A Good Experience and Myself Luis' Blog - Flash Web

(to visit the original article click here)Since I liked computers and technology, I decided to take Computer Science as my major. In four years, we covered web design, Flash , ASP, C++, etc. I liked it so much that I decided I wanted to become a computer scientist. Â As any other tech guy, I was shy, timid, and in this case, had a strong accent. Senior year came and I was worried about going to college. Even though all of my teachers told me that I was going to succeed in everything I put my mind to, I was afraid I was not college material. Thanks to my outstanding grades in school, I got a full scholarship at Essex County College (ECC) and admission to their Honors Program. Â The first couple of days at college felt awkward since I did not know anyone. Classes were good, except for Calculus. Integrals and I did not get along that well. When I attended the first Honors Program Luncheon, I was surprised to see that there were only two computer science students, including myself. I kept this in mind until graduation where I was the only Computer Science major, and I was also the class Salutatorian. I have to say I did fairly well during my four semesters at ECC given the fact that I was afraid of college.
